day 10

Visite surprise ce matin. Pas eu de lemmings mais un renne qui vient frapper a la porte. J'avance tranquillement dans ce qui pourrait etre renomme le mudsleden. Il y a de la boue partout. D'ailleurs avec ce niveau d'eau on doit plutot appeler ca de la vase. Je fais des grandes enjambees pour aller de partie emmergee en partie emmergee des cailloux (un rockberg?). Je pense aux gens qui ont des trop petites jambes pour atteindre le cailloux suivant et... tant pis pour eux ! J'ai la tete et les pieds qui touchent les murs de ma tente,chacun ces problemes. J'arrive a temps pour le bateau, c'etait la derniere traversee en bateau a moteur.

Had some visitor this morning, no lemming but a reindeer came to knock at the door. I'm progressing in what should be called the mudsleden. There is mud everywhere. But there is so much water that it could be silt instead. I'm doing giant steps from rock to rock (rockberg?). I'm thinking about the people with small legs that can't do it and.... i don't care, i'm touching the walls of my tent with my head and feet so everyone has his own problems. I arrive in time to catch the 4pm boat, it will be the last time i have to take a motor boat, tomorrow i'll need to raw.
