Day 38

On devrait retourner sur le trail mais on fait d'abord une pause au camping afin de faire notre lessive et on en profite pour se laver une deuxieme fois en trois jours ! Tout ca fait qu'on part legerement plus tard que d'habitude : aux environs de 13h. On avance tres bien et on arrive vers 15h30 a vasquez rock qui est un lieu emblematique de tournage pour star trek et d'autres films. Les environs sont peuples de gens du cinema qui rien qu'avec leur maison on envie de nous faire comprendre qu'on n'est pas du meme monde : il y en a un qui s'est octroye le sommet du colline et a fait construire un mur d'enceinte sur tout le perimetre a mi hauteur. C'est peut-etre contre les attaques de bandits ou de klingons. Apres on se dirige vers la ville et on s'arrete encore dans un restaurant. Les portions sont vraiment enormes et on est repus apres une assiette. On etait un groupe de 7, la plupart vont dans un camping en ville. Trail master et moi on decide d'avancer un peu et on fait notre premiere marche de nuit, sans les etoiles malheureusement.

We should have gone back on trail but we first need to stop at the campground to do our laundry and getting our second shower in only three days ! So we start to hike slightly later than usual : 13h. We're making good progress and we arrive around 15h30 at vasquez rocks, a famous shooting spot for star trek and other movies. The surroundings are inhabited by people wirking in the film industry and just with their house they want to make clear that we are not from the same world : one has made his a hill and he has built a fortification wall half way to the top of the hill. Maybe in case of a bandit or klingon attack. After that we cross a town and we stop again in a restaurant. The servings are enormous and we are all completly full. We were a group of 7, most of them will stop in a campground in the town. Trail master and I decide to go forward a bit and we do our first night hike, unfortunately without any stars.
